Is Cryptoware similar to the GP code ransomware

The Cryptoware locker is a new Trojan which encrypts your data and demands money in return for the decryption key. Is the new threat similar to the earlier discovered ransomware, GPcode? Have the efforts to crack the Cryptolocker code been successful yet? Why is it has been so difficult to crack the code yet?

Hello, Barbara!

 Yes, the Cryptoware is similar to previously discovered GP code in a way that both use encryption. For every single new victim, another unique key is created and only the Cryptlocker owners have access to the decryption keys. They send out pretty frightening messages , that appear on your screen. If infected you should download Kaspersky Rescue Disk.
