Cursor erratic movement making scrolling hard

Hi there,

I have a Dell XPS PC which is running on Windows 8, recently I installed a new mouse (Optical and wired) since then, I have realized that the cursor is so jumpy and erratic such that clicking and highlighting words is almost impossible, scrolling using the wheel disables the mouse altogether and the cursor will freeze, forcing me to unplug and plug the mouse back to the computer, what are the possible reasons for this problem? How can I solve it ?

Cursor erratic movement making scrolling hard

Hi,

You need to change the setting of your mouse that is being shown in the figure below. You need to configure options of all properties of your mouse like pointer, motion, snap, visibility etc. Check the detailed instructions to solve your issue.

1. Open your PC & Go to the START menu

2. Choose Control Panel option

3. Click the MOUSE option

4. Configure the settings

If still you are facing your problems then follow this step

1. Open your PC & Go to the START menu

2. Choose Devices & printers option

3. Choose Basic Optical Mouse Option

4. Click the " Find Solution For Common Problems "

5. Choose your problem from given lists
