As I am trying to access my data in an external hard drive, it is being shown as corrupted. How can I fix this? Is it a CRC error? What is Cyclic Redundancy Check fix for the external drive?

Cyclic Redundancy Check For Fixing External Drive

Cyclic Redundancy Check error arises when your data gets corrupted in any manner. You can fix the issue by following the given steps-

–>Recover your data using a data recovery tool.

–>Now check for the errors again and fix them.

–>Right click the drive to check->Click Properties.

–>Click Tools->Error checking->Check Now.

–>Select ‘Automatically Fix System File Errors’.

If you want to check again thoroughly-

• Select Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors->Start.
