Database connection failed for vCenter Single Sign-On

Hi,

I am unable to install vCenter Single Sign-On (SSO) and received the following error message While entering the database credentials. What does it mean? I am looking for the resolution so it would be appreciated for any kind of assistance.

Database connection has failed. You can refer to the vn-sso-javaLib in the system temporary folder for more information.

Hi Jeffrey,

The error is because the installer is trying to access dynamic port.
To resolve this error follow the steps mentioned below:
1) Open the 'Microsoft SQL Server Configuration Manager'
2) Go to 'SQL Server Network Configuration' > 'Protocols' for the instance name

 SQL-Server-Configuration-Manager-Properties-window

3) Double Click 'TCP/IP'
4) Click 'IP address' tab, change the dynamic port to static port
5) Restart the SQL instance with the changed settings
