DDE INITIATE failed while converting a program

Hi experts,

I received the following error message while converting my program to a later version of Progress. Now I am unable to use this program properly. I am using Windows 7 Operating System and having issues with DDE. Can you fix this problem for me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

DDE INITIATE failed while converting a program

Hi Luis,

I think it may be a problem for permission limit. Do you think you are unable to resolve the problem? Your problem sounds like customization. The problem may arise if you ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) Have you any .p or .w files been hanging? Due to the software’s licensing issues came out when we trying to modify its code. You can go to "showcfg" (the "config" icon on the start menu). Expecting that you may have in VM ware player inside the Windows-7.
