Decent laptop for a College Student

Hey, I will be attending college next year and am going to major in Computer Science or Software Engineering. Since I will be a boarding student, I would like to get a good laptop that will be suitable for me in college. My laptop budget is around $1500, what would be your recommendation? Thank you.

Decent laptop for a College Student

Considering you will undertake a course that is technical and involves a lot of tech savvy, you need a laptop that has a quick access to command line and one with high performance processor (core i3, i5 or i7) and at least 2 GB of RAM. Apple has great discounts for students and at your budget, you can get a good MacBook. At least a laptop with a core i3 processor, 2 GB RAM, 250 GB Hard disk should be the minimum requirements while doing your shopping.
