Hi friends,
My university PC's use deep freeze software in their desktop screen. I only know that about deep freeze software, it deleted all information when you restart your PC, then you cannot seen your previous information in desktop screen. Actually if i setup this software in my PC, will it deleted my c drive information? That's my problem. I want to know clear about deep freeze software.
Thanks.
What is DeepFreeze Software and its features?

Deep Freeze, is an application available for Microsoft Windows and other operating systems that allows that system administrator protect the core of the operating system and configuration files on a workstation or server by restoring a computer to its original configuration each time that you restart the computer.
-
Deep Freeze is a level controller kernel which protects the integrity of the hard disk drive by redirecting information being written to the hard disk or partition, leaving the original data intact. This redirected information no longer references to a time that the computer is restarted, and so restore your system to its original state at the level of the disc. This allows users to make 'virtual' changes in the system, giving them the appearance of which can modify core files or even delete them and even disable themselves, but on reboot system restores the status configured originally 'frozen' operating system.

To make changes, a system administrator must 'thaw' partition protected by disable Deep Freeze, make the necessary changes and then 'freeze' again by reactivation of Deep Freeze. These changes are part of the protected partition and you will persist after a reboot. 'Freeze' and 'defrost' can be a workstation or remotely via Faronics Core or the Deep Freeze Enterprise Console management platform-level. Users of the Enterprise version can also create virtual partitions called spaces thaw (of up to 1TB in an NTFS – formatted disk) to retain data on 'frozen' hard drives after reboot.
-
Deep Freeze can also protect a computer from harmful malware that automatically deletes (or rather, no longer 'sees') downloaded files when the computer is restarted. The advantage of using Deep Freeze as an anti-virus/anti-malware application is that it doesn't use nearly system resources and does not slow down your computer significantly. The disadvantage is that it does not provide protection in real time, so an infected computer would have to reboot to remove malware.
I hope that it helps so much information.

Hi Jerin449,
I hope this will help to your problem. If you are actually have this deep freeze software to your PC and you want to save files even you have this software. I recommend that your computer has partition in your hard disk drive. Because you can freeze your drive C: usually attacked by viruses, Malware and worms. And you have drive D: where you can save your files and documents. And you can choose what drive you will freeze or you can freeze both. But you can't save files in your computer when you will do this.
