How can I define and use a  formula in microsoft excel 2010? I need to use different functions like sum, average and mean.

Define A Formula In Microsoft Excel 2010

You can use the different formula and functions by directly typing them or using them from the wizard.

Excel calculates its result based on the same mathematical rules. It first solves the parenthesis and then the outer operators.

Example: Calculate the area of a circle.

Result(Area) = pi() * r^2

As per the precedence rules exponent comes first then the “pi” function is used.
