In order to remove Active X controls in your Internet Explorer, do the following ( assuming you using IE 4.0 or higher ):
Now, you may receive some error messages while removing these controls. Here's a Microsoft knowledge base article that discusses this as well as the steps outlined above: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/154850/how-to-remove-an-activex-control-in-windows.
Hope that helps!
The Adobe Flash Player ActiveX is the software that enables the ActiveX control in Microsoft Internet Explorer. So that means, when you install Adobe Flash Player ActiveX on your computer you also have ActiveX control on your Microsoft Internet Explorer. Adobe Flash Player ActiveX is only for Microsoft Internet Explorer and doesn’t work on other web browsers.
If you want to remove it, you can do it from the Add or Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel. To uninstall ActiveX, click Start, Control Panel, and then Add or Remove Programs. Select Adobe Flash Player ActiveX then click Remove or Uninstall. Removing or uninstalling Adobe Flash Player ActiveX doesn’t require restarting the computer.
In case you encountered a failed installation of Adobe Flash Player or you cannot uninstall Adobe Flash Player ActiveX, try downloading Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller. It is a tool that automatically uninstalls all Adobe Flash Players on your computer. This means, both Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Flash Player ActiveX will be uninstalled and the Flash Player applet in the Control Panel will also be removed.
