Deleting Hangout message pop ups deletes my actual text

Hi there,

I have a Galaxy S4 with Google Hangouts installed, the other day I tried deleting message pop ups from Hangout, when I launched Go sms, I  realized I have actually deleted all my text Messages, How do I restore my text messages? I had not backed up my data, How could deleting message pop ups delete the actual text?

Deleting Hangout message pop ups deletes my actual text

Hi Cynthia,

There is no way you can restore your text messages if you had not backed up your data. However, since it is only your message history that will be deleted, you can always ask the person you were texting to send you the history including the messages you had sent. Though this may only apply to conversations that took place one-on-one. I hope this information helps.
