Datawind the Canadian company and Quad electronics have been having differences that have led to the deployment in the release of Aakash tablet, when will this tablet start retailing in leading stores worldwide?

Delivery of the Aakash tablet

The cheapest Indian tablet the Aakash which is valued at $35 will be in store nationwide in the next month or within this month till early May. It is getting an upgrade from being android 2.2 to Google Android 4.0 operating system, according to the company assembling the device for Indian government.The second generation Aakash will have a 7 inch capacitive multi touch screen and faster single core.

This original $35 tablet is for the students of India, the Indian government subsidized low cost computing device for their students. Its original price is $45 so the government will subsidize the $10. The shipment is delayed because of the dispute between the two contracting parties.

The Aakash 2 will have 256mb of ram and 2 GB flash storage. It should be available in the market for the next month or early next month, while the upgrade will be done after 2-3 weeks upon the delivery of the Aakash which is considered as the cheapest tablet came from India.
