Dell latitude 630 Laptop charging problem.
Hello!
If you have already tried changing the adapter and it does not works then it could be some different problem. As you said you brought your friends charger and tried using it but it didn't worked. So, did you tried your charger using in your friends laptop. Did it worked. If yes then it could be mainboard problem.
If the LED on the adapter lights on when it's plugged into the wall but not the system, and if it goes out when it is connected to notebook, then mainboard have problem on it. So, you need to fix mainboard not the adaptor.
Thanks

If the same problem is true when using different computer chargers, that means the problem is not on the charger itself but on the computer. It may be the port where the charger plugs into that has gone defective.
You need to call Dell Technical Support for this problem and you most likely will get a motherboard replacement if it’s under warranty or you may need to pay for it if it’s already out of warranty. Motherboards are expensive so if their technical support people determines it is indeed the motherboard, you might as well just purchase a brand new computer.

The LED indicator on the charger should activate or light up once you plug it on an AC outlet. This serves as the power indicator to notify you that the charger has power and is ready to use to charge your laptop.
Now, if the LED indicator is deactivated or doesn’t light up even after plugging it to a power outlet, you need to check and verify that the AC outlet where the charger is plugged in has power. Plug other devices to the power outlet to see if the devices work. If there is a problem with the AC outlet, transfer your charger to a different power outlet.
If the AC outlet has power and is perfectly working, it is not possible for two different chargers to not work. There must be something wrong with your power source.
