Dell Vostro speakers not working porperly, creates noise

I am using a Dell Vostro which is now out of warranty, When I changed my window 8 to window 7 everything was ok except the speakers. Speakers create a huge noise whenever I increase the volume more than 30 % in vlc. Can this be solved just by troubleshooting or I need to replace my speakers. In case of replacement, Tell me how to open the laptop myself and replace them, As the technician will charge much.

Randall,

 

Two possible options:

 

1. There is some dirt in your speakers, maybe dust or a staple or something metallic. Check if you can clean them.

 

2. Reinstall the driver of the sound card. Go to the device manager, right click on the line where your sound card name appears and deleted. Restart the computer and check if windows automatically install it, if not, do it manually.
