Dell web cam crashes windows 8 professional 64-bit

Hi guys,

I have just upgraded my dell Inspiron to Windows 8 Professional 64-bit. Now I am faced with dell web cam crashes Windows. I cannot use webcam anymore. How can I fix this problem?

Hi,

In order to fix this problem you have to go to Dell official site search for the model of your laptop in the site and look for the downloadable content of your computer look for the application that is particularly for your webcam.

Usually, that's the problem when you format or change the operating system, sometimes you have to re-install the defaults of the computer, such as webcam, WiFi connections, sounds etcetera.

Hi Holen,

Often this issue is caused by Audiofix which is an add on your Webcam software, this is the step you can try to resolve this issue. Update your Dell WebCam to the latest version, and then install Creative Live! Cam Audiofix. This codec/add on will then be downloaded from that software and this should rectify the problem.
