I am doing a project about all the DLL files required for the Windows platform. I have come across MSdelta, and I cannot find much information on this file. Can someone share whatever they know about this DLL in a brief explanation? It would be of great help.
Details And Explanation On MSdelta DLL
MSdelta DLL, developed by Microsoft Corporation, is a system file. Also, it is a hidden file and located in the System folder in the C drive. It is considered a type of Dynamic Link Library and is more like a guidebook that stores information and instructions for other executable files to follow. Its usual size is around 30k bytes. Most of the programs on your computer require it, so disabling it can be dangerous.
What it is, is an executable file in your computer’s hard drive, so it has machine code and, since it is used often, it resides in RAM, which is the main memory. This DLL file has not been given a security rating yet. If this file is in any other location other than the System32 folder, then there is a possibility that it is a Trojan. If you are getting errors relating to this file, it is probably because of the application that is using it.
To fix this problem, update or uninstall that application. Otherwise, it could be missing because of accidental deletion, or it could be corrupted due to a power outage while loading the Windows operating system or bad sectors on your storage media.
