Hi,

I would like to know the device that can function as a hardware component. I need to use it to send and receive dated instructions as well as information to and from one or more computers.

Device that can function as a hardware component

Hi Speer. There are lots of hardwares that can be used to transfer information to and from computers. Examples of these hardwares are:
1. Bluetooth
2. Wireless networks (Wi-Fi, LAN)
3. Ethernet ports(both wired and wireless)
4. Infra-red, to mention a few.
Some of these use wires and some are wireless.

Device that can function as a hardware component

 

There are several ways to transfer data from one computer to another. The cheapest and the finest way is using cables such as,

                                1. USB Cable

                                2. LAN Cable

When you use cables you can transfer data in a good speed. But the problem in using cables is distance. If you want to transfer data between two computers in a certain distance which cables are not enough in length you have to use wireless methods. The wireless methods are WI-FI and Bluetooth. Using these methods you can transfer data between computers at a certain range. To use WI-FI you must have a wireless network and to use Bluetooth you can use a Bluetooth dongle.
