My Mercury TV card is not functioning in Windows Vista.
I purchased the TV card 6 years back. I did not find any update firmware for the card in internet.
And when I installed Vista in my PC, the TV card is not functioning.
How can I solve this problem?

It might be searching for a driver that is correct for the said operating system.
You might be using it from a windows XP before and installed the same driver in a Vista operating system.
Solution 1:
Search and download a compatible software driver for the said device. For example type in Google "Mercury TV Tuner driver for Vista" and then start the search. Look for the necessary driver and then install it once downloaded.
Solution 2:
Revert back to Microsoft XP to use it or use it on another computer with Microsoft XP installed. You can choose on either of the two.

Hi Eliza,
There are some TV cards that only work with windows XP and the previous versions. When you try using them on windows 7 or vista they do not work. This is because the TV card does not have drivers that support the features that have been incorporated in windows 7 and vista. In this case you might be forced to buy a brand new TV card that is supported by vista and windows 7.
I do not know if it is possible to update the TV card drivers online so that it can be supported by vista and windows 7, but I will do research about it. Like in my case I am using windows 7 and when I was buying my TV card I had to get one that had vista and windows 7 support which some others did not have.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Lee Hung.
