Can you please help me understand the difference between clock speed and core speed? We bought an Autodesk license and we were able to run the software smoothly in an Optiplex Desktop (Business PC) rather than a Dell Precision which is they say built for design and high graphics computing closely similar to server. They say the software did not work on the Dell Precision because of the clock speed.
Difference between clock speed and core speed
The clock is a component which that generates signals at a particular frequency which is known as clock speed. It is used to determine the time of the execution of an instruction within a processor. There is no major difference between clock speed and core speed as both are same.
Difference between clock speed and core speed
Hi,
Clock speed refers to the frequency at which the CPU is running whereas the core speed is measured in Mega hertz which defines the rate at which CPU runs its like the nucleus or center of CPU by changing the core speed you can increase the speed of your Pc as it increases your CPU speed when core speed is increased in the system.
