Difference between plates sketch and plates annular

Difference between plates sketch and plates annular

In petroleum storage tanks, bottom of steel plates are specified, laid and supported by a prepared foundation. In the bottom  a couple of rectangular shaped plates surrounded by a set of plate shaped are located which are sketched plates .The main purpose is to give a circular shape.

An annular plates ring is supplied around rectangular plates. The shell is sited down on the sketch or annular plates, just inside   periphery. Annular plates locate in bottom periphery and sketch plates locate over annular plates
