Difference of DVD writer from CD writer

Hello,

I have a Dell laptop I got from Best Buy.  It has a CD drive.  Can I write CDs from the drive?  What about DVDs?  I wanted to make a DVD of my son's first birthday.

Difference of DVD writer from CD writer

A CD writer or burner as the name suggest is use to make or create a CD by using the laser to burn data on the disc,it plays a CD by shining laser on it and reading the pattern on the cd's surface.

While a DVD writers play both DVDs and CDs it create DVD by doing the same process as transferring data to the inner layer of the disc by using laser also.

One of the biggest difference between the two is that a DVD burner can play and create both CDs and DVDs  that is why a DVD burner is more convenient to use against CD burner.And also DVD writer or DVD holds more capacity on storing data files compared with CD,you can store more on a DVD than a cd.

Difference of DVD writer from CD writer

DVD (Digital Video Disk) Check Completely.

You can use another USB (DVD) Room & Writer. Then Disk instead Nero burning software Properly. When Nero Software you get an icon click here. Open a Options. You can chose made DVD/. Data DVD or CD/ Video disk/ Audio disk etc. add quality or Item. Next button then  Start burning automatically.

At Last When Finch Burn complete. Click Finch Button .

Difference of DVD writer from CD writer

There have some difference between CD and DVD. CD have only 700-900 MB storage space otherwise DVD have 4.5 GB to 5 GB memory capacity. So ultimately you can keep a lot of file in DVD. So you can burn your more project in DVD. So it’s better to buy a DVD writer. If you buy DVD writer then you can burn CD or DVD both. But if you buy CD writer then you cant burn DVD by use that. So is not it better to buy a DVD writer for your laptop?

You can use nero software for burn DVD by use your DVD writer.
