I have this Desktop, it’s an HP Pavilion HPE H8t series. It has a 1 GB DDR Ram with a Radeon HD 6670 Graphics Card. All I wanted to know is whether the Graphic Card could have a Digital User Interface that I could use on my Monitor. My Monitor has a DVI –D connection and I want to have a digital kind of connection. What do I need to use to link both devices?
Digital Connection for Graphic Card and Monitor
Greetings !
Â
I have some solution and looking forward to help and answer your question. Regarding your problem as all you wanted to know is whether the Graphic if could have a digital user Interface. First lets differentiate if what is DVI-I and DVI-D. DVI-D this is for digital signals only and DVI-I it allows both Digital and analog signals and also you can check this site also for other guide credited to difference between.net. Ok, lets proceed if what do you need to link both  of your devices and honestly i will tell you the truth you only just used DVI-D cable in your computer monitor to DVI-I thats your video card. Additional information: DVI-D cable can plug in a DVI-i but you will also consider that you cant plug DVI-I to DVI-D.
I hope it will answer and solve this issues.
Digital Connection for Graphic Card and Monitor
Hi,
Your graphics processing unit, the Radeon HD 6670, supports: DisplayPort 1.2, High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), Video Graphics Array (VGA) and Digital Visual Interface (DVI). Based on what you said and from the specifications sheet of your graphics processing unit, both your monitor and the graphics card has the ports/connectors to have a digital connection.
You just need to get your self a Digital Visual Interface (DVI) cable and have it connected to both devices. For the user interface, just download the AMD Catalyst Control Center to have more control over your video card. You can get it here (assuming you have Windows 64-bit).
