Our company is using Exchange 2003 server and we want our users from Active Directory only to have access in sending and receiving mails, instead of relaying to all our users. (E. g. POP3 client set up) I need a step by step procedure on setting up this feature.

Directly send and receive mails in AD

Hello Casey,

To be able to directly send and receive mails through active directory, You need to create enabled users. You can create users, contacts and more. To be able to create enabled users, simple open active directory users and computers > Open the properties dialog box for user account.

And then on the tab exchange advanced, choose the hide from exchange address list check box and click ok. You also need to set storage limit for specific user. On the limit tab, clear the use mailbox store default check box and configure the right options and then click OK. I hope it helps.
