If other file will convert then it must problem only that wmv file. Winamp have not problem. Or it is going same way then Winamp have. Than your winamp some different configuration will be changed for working. When it installing it shows on you to click some point like Wmv, Avi, Mpeg, or others formatting file to support then you may not click to agree them.
The problem there is with the output used in Winamp. If your Winamp is configured to use the output “Nullsoft Disk Writer”, change this setting to either “Nullsoft DirectSound Output” or “Nullsoft WaveOut Output”. In Winamp, go to “Options” then “Preferences” or press Ctrl + P. On the left pane, scroll down and select “Output” under “Plug-ins” section.

On the right, select either “Nullsoft DirectSound Output” or “Nullsoft WaveOut Output” then click “Close”. This should fix the problem. You should only use the “Nullsoft Disk Writer” output when converting an audio file. Download the latest and last version of Winamp. It runs on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 and it should work perfectly on Windows 8.x and Windows 10.
