DirectX Setup error: internal system error occurred

Hi,

I am running Windows 7 Operating System and trying to download Microsoft® DirectX®. I have downloaded it successfully but when I clicked to install the setup an error occurred at the end of the stage saying “An internal system error occurred”. I really need this software to play the games so please guide me the proper instructions to install it without having any problem. I have reinstalled this application but I need expert’s advice. Help me!

DirectX Setup error: internal system error occurred

Hi Terry,
The error can be resolved by performing a clean boot.
1) Log in as 'System Administrator'
2) Click 'Start', type 'msconfig.exe', press enter
3) In the 'General' tab, Click 'Selective Startup' option
4) Uncheck the checkbox 'Load startup items'
5) In the 'services' tab, select 'Hide all Microsoft services', Click 'Disable all'
6) Click 'OK', Click 'Restart'
