The Disabled Desktop After Scanning

Hi,

My pc was once a victim of a fake system error scanner.

That was a virus so I scanned my HD with antivirus.

After scanning, my desktop was still disabled.

I can’t put shortcuts on it.

How can I fix this?

The Disabled Desktop After Scanning

Hi,

This is definitely is a effect of a virus. When you deleting viruses after you scanned the computer you might have been deleted some necessary files for the explorer. Or else your virus might have deleted the file to run the explorer. To solve this problem try the below method and see it is working, if not you have to format the computer again.

Solution:

Go to task manager by pressing Ctrl+ Alt +Delete and there you go to file menu and you will be having a dialog box. There type “Explorer” and click ok.

This might solve your problem and enable the desktop to you.
