Disabling writing to all drives but still user can run installed software

I have a problem in setting some security to my workstations.

I disabled the access rights of non-administrator account to any drive letters using the security option on the properties of each drive. But the problem when the user have already logged in to their account and the software that are already installed display error message “the ***.* file count not be access” when opening including printing function has error message too.

What other security configuration is suitable to attain all drives are not accessible to non-administrative account for writing but they should have access in opening to all software that are already installed?

Dear Jensen,

Yes, it happens when you apply any lock on the access. It gives an error while opening in the installed software as well.

In the Internet, there are many tools or software which is only used for creating the restriction on the files or folders. Search the internet and find many applications there. Select the program you want, download it, install it and then select those files you want to give restriction and apply restrictions to those files.

Cheers!
