Discrepancy in the number of photos in iOS

Hello everybody, 

I am using iPhone 5S and everything looks fine. I am having around 923 photos in my Photos application.But in the camera roll it is showing only 126 photos. I am using the latest version of iOS 7.1.2 only.

Is this a problem with my phone or any settings? How can I make sure all photos in camera app are present in the camera roll? Please kindly advise. Thanks a lot in advance.

Discrepancy in the number of photos in iOS

This may be due to your iCloud settings. If you have Photostream enabled in iCloud your iCloud settings, your photostream photos will show up in the Photos app, but not in your camera roll.

If this is the case, you can tap "Share" and then "Save to Camera Roll" to move them to a more permanent location.
