HI Latha,
It happens sometimes that one by mistake may delete the partitions from our desktop computer.
Just don’t panic, as there are several ways to restore the drives. First of all, go for the system restore and check if the partitions are restored or not.
In worse case scenario, there are some software available such as Active @ partition recovery and Active @ UNDELETE which are capable of restoring the partitions. You can check the respective sites to know how to perform the steps and recover your partition.
There are many other software available but the two listed above are recommended.

Kirsten
Hi Latha,
There is a software called active @ partition that you can use to recover any partition that you have deleted together with the data on it. You can download it from here.
Once you have it running on your system, locate the hard disk drive that contains the deleted partition. Place the cursor on ‘Unallocated’ that contains the deleted partition. Press Enter after that.
Thereafter place the cursor on the partition, which should be in the list of found partitions and then press Enter.
This should help you recover your partition and your data.
Another method to recover your partition is by using Remo Receovery.

Lee Hung.
Although I can’t clearly get your question, I will assume you meant that one of the hard disk partitions is missing from the Disk management option.
This is normally caused by what is known as a Rootkit virus (a dangerous virus that allows to grant itself master privileges and hence other Antivirus can’t detect it. It then in turn downloads other Malware virus into your computer.
To remove it, you need a root kit detector and McAfee if you have a free version (McAfee Rootkit Detective Version 1.1).
After running it, scan and find all the hidden files as well as the registry keys. Finally all the drives as well as the partitions will now be visible from your disk management.

Hello dear,
There is no way to retrieve the deleted partition, but you can retrieve your data by using some recovery softwares. Window's Disk Management utility is a very powerful utility to create, delete and manage hard disks, CD/DVD drives and other storage media. If you have deleted the partition from this utility, then you must create a new one. You cannot retrieve old one. I’m sorry about this. I this helps.
Thanks.
