.dll failed to register while installing BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.7

Hello techyv and BB users,

I have a question for you. I tried to install BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.7 and got the following error.

BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.7 Installer Information

Error 1904.Module C:Program Files (x86)Research In MotionBlackBerryIS71 ConnectorsISGroupWise6.5.XGW.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147220473. Contact your support personnel.

One other time i remember i clicked ignore (on the message i got) but then the installation got stuck on 98%. This means that the .ddl failed to register. Do I need to re-install v 4.7 or maybe the Windows Registry is not having permission to register the files?

.dll failed to register while installing BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.7

Hi friend,

First option is need to know what OS you are using. Is it XP SP1 or XP SP2 or Vista? If you using Is it XP SP1 or XP SP2 then avoid installing 4.7 and try to install 4.6. If you want to install 4.7 then you need to use Windows 7 or Vista.

You can install 4.7 in XP. For this first stop installing BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.7 and delete all files and folders that already created by the BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.7 installer.

Now go to run and type “msconfig”.

Here in service tab close all services related with Microsoft and now install BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.7.
