Document error on Keynote on my Mac OS

Hi experts,

I have downloaded and installed Keynote on my Mac OS. I got an issue opening a document using Keynote but it says “You need a newer version of Keynote to open this document”. I installed the latest version but the same error displayed. What should I do now? Please provide the best solution. Thanks in advance.

Document error on Keynote on my Mac OS

Hi Mohammad,

The app might be having trouble recognizing the type of files it should open. There are few workarounds you may try:

1. Open Keynote application, try opening the file from the File > Open menu option

2. Drag the file and drop it onto the Keynote on the docking station
3. Check for latest updates on the new software
4. Locate the file in the Finder. Use the Get Info option in the file menu and in the Open With section of the panel, select the latest version of Keynote
