Does games like plants vs zombie writes on registry

Greetings, 

I bought and installed a game called plants vs zombies in my computer. While playing this game my personal computer suddenly crashed and was unable to start up. Now, the question is "does this game write on my computer's registry upon installing". Because I lost my registration code and have to clean reformat my computer. Thanks in advance, hoping for your replies.

All application you recently installed in your system has always its registration key being inserted in the registry. The registration key is very important because during the validation and initialization of the application it reads the first entry in the registry before executing or using the application. It also used in the update process of your application so that the provider validates and configure your updates.

To answer your question, "Does this game writes on the computer registry upon installing?" YES. All software applications are lodged in the Computer registry, it does not matter what type or kind of application it is.

 

I can walk you through how you can get the registration code for your games, Plants vs Zombies by simply following these steps:

 

First, access the Registry Editor. Click START menu and choose RUN. When RUN program opens up, type the command REGEDIT and hit enter key. Now the Registry Editor will launch.

 

1. Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Simply click on the plus (+) symbol to open the subfolders.

2. Now find the folder named "Wow6432Node”. Double-click to open it.

3. Find SOFTWARE and open it.

4. Select POPCAP folder.

5. Open POPCAP GAMES folder.

6. Now find the folder for the Plants vs Zombie. It can be marked by PvZ or related. Open the folder and you will find the subfolder where the registration key is.
