I have read the articles about this new NVIDIA Tegra 3+ chip and its capacity to store power for more than 10hours unplugged tablets, laptop and hybrids, and I found it very interesting.
Do you have any idea if this chip was already launched by the NVIDIA company?

Does newest NVIDIA Tegra3+ chip already launched?
Hi Shania,
If I'm not mistaken, NVIDIA Tegra 3+ quad-core is the world's first mobile super processor.
And as what I have read, it's launched date is set for the end of the third quarter, 2012. After that, people would be able to have the best web experience since it's up to two times faster browsing and hardware-accelerated flash. Not just that it can store power for more than 10 hours unplugged tablets, laptop and hybrids, but it also:
– it is 5x faster than tegra 2
– less power
– 3x faster for graphics

Tegra 3 was released November 9, 2011, and one of its features is a "companion core".  It utilizes low power limiting its speed to 500mHz .  It quickly transfers logic from the normal core to the "companion core" that's why it uses less power thus prolonging battery life.  Thus it is used in mobile devices because it can switch to the "companion core" whenever it is on standby or when underutilizing the CPU.  It is used on Asus' Transformer Pad, Acer Iconia and HTC One X+.
