was wondering if the nokia 5530 has GPS installed on the phone its self or i have to download it myself and if i have to download it where can i get it ?
Nokia 5330 has build in GPS device with Nokia maps. In order to use the software you need internet connection on your phone and maps application. You can use Nokia maps or Google maps on Nokia phone. If you do not have maps software visit Nokia official website or Google it for Nokia maps. Google maps are also available on Google.
GPS is the device and you need maps software for using it.
Nokia 5330 supports GPS features specifically  A-GPS support system.  It is a  built in feature on the phone.Â
To enable or to activate the GPS of your Nokia Mobile Phone,

1. GO TO Tools > Connectivity > GPS Data

2. Once you Open GPS Data, you will notice that a popup dialog box will show and say Searching for GPS Satellites. Your GPS Data might connect to GPRS or search a Bluetooth device for it to search an external GPS Device. But you don't have to connect to GPRS or a Bluetooth device for you to activate your GPS. So the next step is to Press Options > Position Settings and then uncheck Bluetooth GPS, Assisted GPS and Network Based. Leave the Integrated GPS checked.

3. Once you're done with that, press back and at the Navigation menu, wait for your mobile phone to connect to a GPS Satellite. For you to know the signal strength, press Options and then click Satellite Status. Once everything is full, your GPS Data is now activated and then you can use it now with your Nokia Maps or any 3rd party GPS application.
GPS stands for Global Positioning System.I helps to find your route to your destination while traveling. 3G is a mobile broadband service through which you can get fast access to internet on your 5530.However, 5530 has Wifi which is even faster that 3G.
