Does Outlook 2010 do reduplication of contacts?

Hi guys,

 I recently synced my iPhone contacts and calendar with Microsoft Outlook 2010.  My problem is, it created duplicate contacts.  I want to remove the duplicate contacts.  Does Outlook 2010 do reduplication?  I have the iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello,

The answer to your question is no. Microsoft outlook does not do reduplication of contacts.

To delete the duplicated contacts, follow these steps:

1.    In the Contacts option, select the contacts folder that contains the duplicate contacts.

2.    On the View tab, in Current View group, select Change View, and finally click Phone. Now you can sort your list by modified date and then group the duplicates together.

3.    In list of contacts, hold CTRL while selecting each of the duplicate contact.

4.    After selecting all the duplicate contacts, click DELETE.

 If ever you want to prevent duplicate contacts whenever you import contacts, select Do not import duplicates
