Hello everyone, 

I need some help. I am using Java but my installer elusive Java Ubuntu is not working. I can't understand what is the problem with it. Can anyone help me?

Hi Young,

This could be a problem with the java version of your system. Please check what Java version your system is using. To check java version follow this step : RUN 'JAVA -Version', it will show you information about your java version, also make sure you have JVM running in the background to support your installer cause java should its own virtual environment and it does not depend on OS.

If you are running with lower java version then just update your version of java and that will solve your issue.

You haven't said – what Ubuntu version are you running?
 
It is a common mistake for fresh users to try to install the wrong version of Java, as every Ubuntu version has it's own installation package. In order to skip problems like those, firstly you will need to uninstall the version you have on your system. After everything is removed, open your Software Center and search for Eclipse. Software Center will offer you only the versions available for your OS and click the Install button to proceed.
