Hey,
There I am a new Linux UBUNTU user. I am trying to get a download manager. I saw a list of best download managers for Linux. They told me Kget would be the best and then also suggest to try out new 'Axcel'.
I try to get both of them from my software Centre.
It appears on the list but it's not working.
I mean the link from the list isn't working. I tried a hundred times but can't fix it. Is there any way to download it?
Actually i need a download manager like IDM. Which will protect my downloaded data even it stop at the midway for any reason.
IT will just 'Download' once and don't need to start from the beginning after any problem.
Download Manager’ download problem in Linux
If your chosen download manager doesn’t work.
I suggest you use the “Gwget” download manager.
It is a popular front – End Downloader application. Gwget supports integration with Firefox using the FireGet as the Firefox extension.
You can download Gwget.
Another download manager is the “Uget” it is an open source downloading application.
This is very easy to use supporting pause and resume on your downloads.
Auto resume works when you after you have lost your internet connection, you don’t need to download your files/applications again from the start. It has also Firefox integration using the plugin Flashgot.
You can download Uget.

Download Manager’ download problem in Linux
Hi,
If you have problem with download manager then you need to repair your download manager. You can find a new version and install it.
It will find the old version and overwrite some files of it. When you replace some file of it then it will work properly.
You also can download a new version and try to update your old version. A new update has a better chance of working.
If you have no internet connection or do not want to spend money on it then tries to uninstall the current version and then install again. Then it may be working properly .
