I have a customer that needs an implementation to a Disaster Recovery (DR) site using only secondary Cisco gear. Is there someone here who could give me suggestions or a guide for best probable solutions, and desirable manuals for this matter? Thank you very much in advance.
DR Implementations Using Secondary Cisco Gear
In a situation like that, data will have to be replicated synchronously, or if not that it should be replicated at regular intervals. After that has been done, the data must then be retrieved and then restored whenever it will be needed. The intervals at which data will be backed up is the most important step of a business continuance strategy.
You will need to know that the things that are needed by the business and its applications will the ones to dictate the interval at which the data will be replicated. And in the case where there is failure, then the backed up data will need to be restored, and then the applications must be enabled with the restored data.
