Dragon Naturally Speaking is speech recognition software and it is developed by Nuance. The latest version is 11.5 and it supports Win XP, Vista & 7.

The Dragon naturally speaking preferred is the version for the home use while professional is for corporation use. There are some major differences between them, some o them are explained below.

Dragon Preferred	Dragon Professional
It don’t support Microsoft outlook, power point, Info Path	It fully supports Microsoft Outlook, Power point, Info path
There is no option of voice notation.	It has voice notation option, with which user can make side comments which don’t appear in dictated text.
There is no support for cordless microphones	It fully allows the use of cordless microphones
Micros cannot be created or shard ( Micros are short cuts which help you to speed up your task)	Micros can be created and shared.
Vocabulary option is available but it don’t allow customized vocabulary	Vocabulary can be fully customized by adding new words.
I don’t allow the saving of your recordings.	You can save your recordings for their use later on
It is not operable in Citrix environment	It can be used in Citrix environment.
