Dual core xl opteron 2216 he or Xeon?

Hi guys.  I'm trying to build a gaming PC from scratch.  I was about to purchase the 2.4 GHz AMD dual core XL Opteron 2216 he processor but then I saw Intel's dual core Xeon.  Which is better of the two, performance wise?  Any feedback would be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Hi Douglas,
In your case I will say that is better to buy  AMD Dual Core XL OPTERON 2216 HE.
This is one excellent processor, clock speed on 2400 HZ, and 1024 kb of L2 cache memory, what will surely speed up your machine. I think,  for the gaming machine, it is better to buy your AMD solution than Intel.
