Dvr remote desktop Vista works with Vista Home but not Ultimate

Hey guys,

My Dvr remote desktop Vista works with Vista Home but not Ultimate. In setting up a 6 channel DVR card for a stores security, It works fine from any XP machine and from Vista Home, but not from Vista Ultimate. The connection is fine, but the video images do not appear.

Any help would be great.

Dvr remote desktop Vista works with Vista Home but not Ultimate

Hi Marjorie,

You need first verify if you are able to ping the remote server. Do the following steps as described below:

1. Open a command prompt window (make sure you have admin rights)
2. In the command window, type "ping <computer name" and hit enter

If you are able to successfully ping the server/remote computer, it means that there is some sort of connection problem in between the 2 computers.
