EAPOL being blocked while trying to put HIPS 8

Hi all,

EAPOL is being blocked while I am trying to put HIPS 8 on my computer. An error shows in the HIPS 8 log and all traffic is blocked. If I want to continue, I have to disable all the functions of HIPS 8. I thought I could create an exception in the firewall for this strange protocol, but it is still the same. I have attached a screenshot:

EAPOL being blocked while trying to put HIPS 8

Hi Brennan,

It is resulted because of the McAfee anti virus application. By default, it usually blocks all unsupported Protocols. All you need is to let Allow Traffic for Unsupported Protocols option for your HIPS 8 in order to assemble the NDIS drivers to by pass all the unsupported protocol traffic, neither to block it or set an exemption for such traffic.
