I have tried everything but I am not able to resolve this Windows update error 80070057. Please tell me the steps by which I can resolve this issue.

Easiest Way To Fix: Windows Update Error 80070057.

This is the easiest way to solve this problem. Just follow these simple steps and your problem resolves.

(i) Restart your system.

(ii) Open Internet Explorer.

(iii) Download and then Install Silver light from Microsoft's official website.

(iv) Click on Install Updates from Windows.

(v) Restart your system.

Easiest Way To Fix: Windows Update Error 80070057.

If you receive error code “80070057” when installing a Windows Update on Windows 7, try downloading the System Update Readiness Tool from the following:

• System Update Readiness Tool for 32-bit Windows 7 (KB947821) – download this if you have 32-bit Microsoft Windows 7.
• System Update Readiness Tool for 64-bit Windows 7 (KB947821) – download this if you have 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7.

Once downloaded, install the tool then try installing the Windows Update again and see if it works. If this doesn’t work, try using the SFC tool. Click “Start,” “All Programs,” “Accessories” then right-click “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator.” In the command prompt window, type without quotes “sfc /scannow” then hit Enter. When the tool is finished, install the Windows Update again and see if it works.
