I have been looking for an eco-friendly android Smartphone. I have come to know about Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate. Why and how is it eco-friendly?

Galaxy Exhilarate, one of Samsung’s great innovations had finally hit the shelves. At a low price of $49.99, Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate offers a high speed and 4G LTE network. However, it is not the technical specs and features that set this phone apart from other LTE Smartphones but the environment-friendly Underwriters Laboratories (UL) rating.
This is the first LTE Smartphone to acquire UL Platinum certification at the highest ranking. It is eco-friendly because the housing is made with 80% recycled post-consumer materials, low-load and comes with an energy-efficient charger that alerts the owner to unplug it when the phone has been fully charged.

The Samsung Exhilarate i577 is known also as Samsung SGH-i577 and I think is designed for AT&T. It supports all 3 network types: 2G, 3G, and 4G and uses mini-SIM. It was unveiled to the public in January 2012 and was released by June of 2012. It measures around 122 x 63 x 12 millimeters weighing 130 grams.
It has a super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 480 x 800 pixels screen resolution. It supports multitouch with 3.5-millimeter jack, microSD expandable up to 32 GB, 4 GB internal storage running on 1 GB RAM. It has Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and microUSB 2.0. The primary camera supports 5 megapixels at 2592 х 1944 pixels resolution with autofocus.
It features face detection and geo-tagging and can do video recording in 720p. The secondary camera supports 1.3 megapixels. It runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread powered by dual-core 1.2 GHz processor. It has compass, accelerometer, and proximity sensors. It supports Adobe Flash and HTML5 for internet browsing. It supports Java via Java MIDP emulator and GPS with A-GPS.
