Email only opens in preview and not new window

Hello,

 

I have Office 2010 and all of sudden my emails are only viewable within the preview pane and don't open in a new window. It creates a new window and you see multiple windows on my task bar but I can't click it and see it.

Hi John,

I got your problem that your outlook program stops responding when you try to view email in new window.

There is some hot fix available on Microsoft website which will help you. You can find link here.

There is one more solution is that try updating your system with latest updates and then try reinstalling software.

Email only opens in preview and not new window

Hi John,

I have found out the solution for you. Please follow these steps:

• Open Outlook 2010.
• Go to the view tab on the Menu Bar of the screen.

• When you click on View, Navigate to Message Preview and select the option to open. It will display the option like Off, 1 line , 2 line or 3 line.

• If you want to disable the Message preview option, you can select off.
• The next step would be that a dialog box will appear, asking whether you want the changes to happen for all all mailboxes or just this folder.

• Once you make changes, this is how your outlook email should appear to you.

• Once this is done, when you double click your email, the email will expand and shall open in a new window.
