Enable custom Bluetooth profiles on car driver screen

Hi,

I would like to know how to custom enable Bluetooth to make it work with Android KitKat’s Message Access Profile. The Android 4.4 enables Bluetooth MAP to communicate with Bluetooth devices, such as cars. I want to know the technicality behind it. How does it work?

Hi Raymond,

Let me share my insights on this.  I will advice you to go through this link to know more info about Message Access Profile (MAP). In the above link you can find details of MAP features such as access to mobile using car screen, provide announcement of email or message reception etc. MAP works on Bluetooth and you will need to have a Bluetooth enabled car kit with which you can use the feature. Before that please make sure the car kit supports the MAP (probably you will find a list of supported phones).
