I'm using a Dell Inspiron 8500 Laptop. It's equipped with Dell Truemobile 1300 WLan mini PCI Card. It is essential for me to listen to the news. But I can't connect to the wifi radio. (Dell radio via the dell website) although my internet connection is working fine.

Well Xavier,
You did not mention the operating system that you are using. Is it windows? If yes then which version of windows? Normally, the issue is in somewhere in the operating system or the connection settings for your network. For example, if you have a firewall, then most probably it is causing the radio not to function properly. Try disabling the firewall and see the result. If still have the issue, check your connection settings and see if the multimedia access is allowed or not. You can also try to listen to some other radio just to see if your connection is fine.
Other radios include the BBC radio for news. For entertainment purposes, you can listen to the FM radios online. If you cant get to access any of the radio, repost here with the OS versions and i will get back to you. But hopefully, your problem will be solved before that.

Xavier, click the start menu of your laptop, then right click to "my computer". Select properties then go to hardware from the tab menu bar. After then select service manager, right click the installed wireless adapter, click enable and yes. Also try this by going to connect to show all connections the one that is wireless or WiFi connection and left click and right click to enable.
There is also a small button just by WiFi led make it sure that you have not turned it off. Another way is to verify the wireless card that is enabled then check the computer's device manager. Contact Dell technical support to know if your device manager indicates a problem with the wireless card or not.

Alright ! I came to know that other radio stations weren't working too as told by Richie Kil. So by turning the WiFi on as told by Bagsic Janco and turning firewall off, it made its way to play the desired stations. Thanks all.
