successfully installed GoldMine 9.2 on a SBS 2008 server without any error. But when I tried to workstation install on the Windows Seven virtual machine I got the following error. I have shared the C: drive and created drive K: on workstation. But when installing it does not find drive K:. Is there something I am missing?

I think the problem you are facing I can solve it. It is not so complex problem but how long it is not solved, it is of course a complex problem. Anyway, let's try to solve the problem as easiest way as possible.
To get rid of the problem, you will have to leave the mapped drive at the installation period and choose a UNC path. Look at the image below:

Hello,
This problem is best solved by the solution given in the #Comment ID: 82162. This will allow the installation to proceed and complete the process.
But you also might encounter problem in starting the application after installation. If this happens then it would complain about not finding ythe database alias.
You can map the gm.ini file in (C:Program FilesGoldMine) to any of the drives by running the notepad file as administrator.
With this change you will be able to run the application successfully.
