Hello,

To fix this error message “Task 'server name – Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800ccc0f): 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)” you need to do the following;

1. Check if internet is working properly.

2. Make sure that your email settings are correct. POP3 and SMTP server name, username and password.

3. Try and temporarily bypass you firewall (Norton, McAfee, ZoneAlarm, etc.).

4. Try and check if there are suspicious messages from your mailbox via web browser and delete it.

Now go ahead and try if it works, if not you may need to make a new e-mail profile or remove and reinstall Outlook.

Hi,

This particular error is called "Connection dropped” error. Follow these steps to resolve the problem.

* Go to tools and click accounts

* Go to Advanced tab and click on SMTP settings. Enter the correct settings here. See you port setting for SSL and TLS. Ask your provider about the correct settings. Now send a test email to your own address. It should be working fine now.
