One of my clients has an issue using a particular USB disk drive for backing up. He is receiving the error “Error-105 unexpected end of data.” on Retrospect Multi Server version 7.6.123. I have tried re-cataloging but failed. I did chkdsk /r which completed successfully. But on starting Retrospect again, it failed. Why is it caused using on this USB? How can I get this solved?
Error 105 Unexpected End of Data on Retrospect
Hello Henry,
Basically, error 105 is a problem indication related to the media that you are using. Retrospect error 105 occurs if power failure interrupts or crash the tape drive or back up computer. I suggest you to try another piece of media. Use a Travan tape. You also had to delete the backup set and recreate the backup set. If the first solution won't work you can visit the site for more information.
