Hi,

I tried to install QTP in my machine,pre-requisite Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime components was missing and when i tried to install that component Error 1310 Error writing to file was displayed.

Please install Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime components, so that it would be useful in my QTP installation.

If you need to install Microsoft Visual C++ runtime components, you can download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package. This will install Visual C++ Libraries runtime components on your computer that are required by some applications that were developed with Visual C++. The Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package download is available at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package system requirements:

  • Pentium 900MHz or faster processor

    • Windows Server 2003 R2 32-bit, or later
    • Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2
    • Windows Server 2008 R2
    • Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2
    • Windows XP Service Pack 3
    • Windows Vista Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2
    • Windows 7
  • 128 MB RAM
  • 25 MB available hard drive space

If you cannot install QTP (HP QuickTest Professional) without installing the Visual C++ runtime components first, then download the runtime components first by clicking the provided link above then install it on your computer. You can proceed on installing QTP again after you successfully installed the Visual C++ runtime components.
